About Assassin’s Creed Rift ?

Assassin’s Creed Rift is set to be Ubisoft’s next addition to the popular franchise. Previously it was intended to be an expansion of the prequel Assassin’s Creed Valhalla but later it was promoted to be a standalone game.

As for the gameplay, it’s thought to be a smaller experience when compared to the massive open-world style games seen in the last Assassin’s Creed games. Supposedly, Assassin’s Creed Rift will be a stealth-based game rather than exploration-heavy.

Assassin’s Creed Rift Release Date ?

On June 19, 2022, Ubisoft confirmed through an earnings call that the cancellations of Ghost Recon Frontline were delayed, and the delay of Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, and a new delay for a slightly unannounced premium game. As per sources that game is believed to be the new Assassin’s Creed game.

The source also believes the delay of all the events was caused by the team that is working on the upcoming Assassin’s Creed currently, and is being led by Ubisoft’s studio in Bordeaux. Apparently, they need more time on the game, because it was running in a fareway under the schedule. Though it is expected to release in May or June next year, Ubisoft has decided to maintain silence and has not confirmed anything so far.

Unlike some of the other Assassin’s Creed games this new upcoming title will probably focus on stealth mechanics and may not have a vast open world to explore. It was once rumored to have happened in the Aztecs before being disputed by Schreier. This small title is a part of the space left for Ubisoft’s ambitious live-service Assassins Creed Infinity. Let us hope that Ubisoft will reveal some more information about Rift on August 24, 2022 at Gamescom.

Where will the new Assassin’s Creed game be set?

Assassin’s Creed Rift is rumored to be set in the Middle East although an actual time period is yet to be revealed. Previously, there were also rumors of game being set in some parts of India, however, later these rumors were washed away.

One of the most distinguishable quality of Assassin’s Creed games are the locations and the time periods they are set in. They are mostly different in every game. They bring you back to a beautiful part of the world in a time many have only seen relics of. It then lets you explore and live the lives of these deadly assassins in that stunning location.

Fortunately, Assassin’s Creed Rift is also believed to be set in an exquisite location of the world. Such part of the world should introduce some different gameplay and skills, fantastic stealth and opportunities to make use of the environment in variety of ways.

Who would be the main character in the Game ?

If the sources are to be believed then the game will revolve around Basim Ibn Ishaq.

There are already so many lovable Assassins, so it’s ideal to hear the main character in Rift will be an Assassin we already know and love from the Valhalla series.

So far that s all we know about Assassin’s Creed Rift. We’ll keep you posted as soon as we receive any more information on the game.
