Since Grand Theft Auto 1 police has always been an integral part of the video game series. However, when it come to how a cop reacts to a situation, very little improvements has seemed to be done in that department in previous games. It looks like the next installment of the series will be a huge leap forward regarding how the police will behave in different situations.

As per the leaks, it seems this time they wont just do the same thing over and over again and may go by in more tactical way based on different situations. The source suggests that cops will surround stores if they get robbed instead of blindly stepping inside to stop the criminals.

To make the situation look and sound more realistic the cops may first ask the perpetrators to surrender before they enter the building, further enhancing the whole experience.

4. Improved AI

We have seen in the previous GTA games that police has fancy for directly shooting at the perpetrator, especially if it is the player who is guilty. Even if you have a two-star it is very likely that the law enforcement will try to shoot you down. However, it seems like the police will not behave the same way in every situation

The leak suggests that players will be given some time to surrender before being barraged with bullets. Police won’t start shooting right after someone commits a crime.

3. Real Time Arrival

In Grand Theft Auto 5, we have seen how cops arrive in just a few seconds after after a crime is committed. Although it is not something that can not be overlooked, it just seems too unrealistic at times. It looks GTA 6 will come with some improvements in that area as well.

As per the leaks, it looks like there will be some time before the police arrive in GTA 6. This may buy some time for the players to perform the mission or perform other activities like robbing a store, without worrying about the immediate arrival of the police. They will have more time to escape, leading to more chase sequences than gun fights.

2. Tracking Vehicles

Police chases have always been one of the most fun aspects of the game. In older GTA games, Players have to either respray the vehicle or get out of sight to escape completely. With the next game, it seems that Rockstar has more in-depth chase sequences in mind.

If rumors are to be believed, the police will keep a track of players’ vehicle model numbers as well as number plates. This might make escaping the law even more difficult in the game. If this is believed to be true, it will be a huge leap forward in the legendary chases present in the series.

1. CCTV cameras

The most ultimate addition to the list could be the CCTV cameras in the open world of GTA 6. If this is true, then it will mark the first appearance of functional surveillance technology in the GTA universe.

According to leaks, the upcoming title will have fully functioning CCTV cameras throughout the open world. This could mean that committing a crime in front of the cameras will alert the cops, but they won’t come to know about the issue if it happens in the middle of nowhere. It is also possible that players will see the protagonists possess hacking capabilities.
