OPPO RENO 4 VS RENO 4 PRO VS RENO 4 PRO 5G

Oppo Reno 4 and Reno 4 Pro were announced around the same with the former being announced on July 29, 2020 and the latter on July 31, 2020. Both the phones were launched on August 5, 2020.

On the other hand, Oppo Reno 4 Pro 5G was announced on June 5 and was made available for purchase by June 12, 2020.

As the name suggests, Oppo Reno 4 is the simple or regular variant and Reno 4 Pro is a slightly more advanced variant with some minor tweaks in the design and specs.

Whereas, The Reno 4 Pro 5G, being a 5G enabled phone comes out with some major differences from the other two devices in some areas.

DESIGN:

In terms of design, all three Oppo Reno phones are distinctly similar.

Reno 4 shares some qualities of its predecessor Reno 3 as far as the design and form factor is concerned, where the phone has a glass protection in the front with a dual notch selfie camera set up on the top left corner.

The bezels are pretty less, however there is a noticeable chin at the bottom of the screen, making the screen to body ratio of 83.5%. The frame is made of plastic.

The plastic back has a vertical Quad camera set up on the top left corner with three big lenses and one small lens for depth sensor, accompained by a flash light. Along with that, there is a vertical Oppo branding at the bottom right corner.

As far as the ports and buttons are concerned, then the at the bottom you shall find a speaker grill, Type-C Port, microphone and 3.5mm jack, whereas on the top there a SIM card tray and a noise canceling microphone.

On the left of the you get volume rockers and on right there is a power button.

Reno 4 Pro, is inspired by the other two devices and seems like an amalgamation of the other two devices.

With 7.7 mm of thickness and 161 grams of weight, it is the slimmest and lightest among the three devices.

Furthermore, it has a Gorilla Glass protection with a punch hole selfie camera and curved edges in the front. The bezels are also negotiable, hence, giving the phone a screen to body ratio of 88.3%.

It gets a plastic back, which comes with matte finish, giving it a great in-hand feel. There is a primary quad camera setup at the top left corner which also accommodates a flash light.

The frame of the smartphone is also made of plastic, one of the reasons for phone’s light weight.

Ports and buttons are same as the regular variant, i.e, Oppo Reno 4.

Reno 4 Pro 5G, is slightly more superior than other two gadgets, not just in terms of specifications and features but also design, form factor and in-hand feel.

Having Gorilla Glass 6 protection on the front and back along with aluminium frame, this smartphones surely has a premium look.

Reno 4 Pro 5G

It has 6.5 inch curved Amoled display with a punch hole cut out selfie camera. The bezels are the thinnest in this device compared to the other two smartphones. The screen to body ratio amounts to 89.5%.

In the back you will find the primary triple camera set up, located in the top left corner just like Reno 4 and Reno 4 Pro.

Talking about ports and buttons, then this device has pretty much everything that the other two devices have except, that it lacks a 3.5mm headphone jack.
