DESIGN:

Talking about its design it comes with a 6.70 inch touchscreen FHD+ AMOLED display, with a resolution of 1080X2400 pixels and a 20:9 aspect ratio. It is a big phone yet, the weight is well distributed, due to which, it doesn’t feel very heavy. With only 179 grams of weight, the smartphone feels like feather holding in hand compared to a lot of other smartphones in the same range. Besides that the phone is very slim and sleek with just 7.7 mm of thickness, which is slightly subjective and controversial as to some this might be convenient and to some people, it might not be very appealing.

Galaxy A71 Design from all angles

Galaxy A71 does not have a glass back and comes with a plastic finish, which in turn takes away the premium feel it was expected to give. Though the Amoled screen with Infinity O design and reduced bezels provides greater viewing experience.

The volume rockers along with the power button can be seen on the right side, whereas the sim card slot is present on the left side of the phone. The bottom of the phone accommodates a 3.5 mm audio jack, a single speaker grill ,and Type-C USB port, while the top of the phone carries a secondary microphone.

POSITIVES:

  1. Great Design, Big screen ,and lightweight.
  2. Full HD+ AMOLED screen with Infinity O design and reduced bezels, punchy colors ,and enough brightness, gives you an attractive display.
  3. The Quad camera setup with an improved wide-angle camera, lets you click some amazing pictures with detailed edges. Usually, the wide-angle shots lose their resolution in comparison to normal shots. This is something that most of the phones should be focusing on. Although, the wide-angle pictures can not be as good as normal pictures, Samsung has definitely improved that feature in this phone.
  4. 4K video recording with selfie camera at 30fps is also available.
  5. Fantastic Low light pictures with Samsung Night mode is yet another great feature of the phone.
  6. Great battery life, with 4500mAh battery and 25W fast charging, which shall charge the phone 100% in around 1 hour 15 minutes.
  7. The A70 also has 3.5 mm headphone jack, unlike most of the mid-range and premium smartphones these days.
Galaxy A71 Back Design
NEGATIVES:
  1. Galaxy A71 does not have a glass back and comes with a plastic cover that is not scratch-resistant and fails to give a premium look to the phone.
  2. With WideVine L1 certification the display is decent. But it does not have HDR.
  3. The new A71 does not have Stereo speakers and comes with a single speaker grille at the bottom of the phone which gives you an average audio output. Moreover, the Dolby Atmos support it comes with is only applicable to headphones and can not be used for the speaker of the phone.
  4. The Macro camera is not very good and the shots taken by macro lense aren’t very impressive.
  5. This phone can not record 4K videos at 60fps(only at 30fps) and even lacks optical image stabilization.
  6. Galaxy A71’s Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 processor is decent but does not justify the price of the phone. Where, other brands like, Realme and Redmi are providing processors like Snapdragon 730g, 855 and even 855+ at a cheaper price, Galaxy A71’s Snapdragon 730 seems a little outperformed and unjustified. P.S, if you are a hardcore gamer, then this device is not recommendable.
  7. The Gorilla Glass 3 front screen protection is one of the most disappointing things in the phone as lot low-budget are also coming with the protection of Gorilla Glass 5.
