Street Fighter 6 announced by Capcom

Street Fighter 6, celebrating its 35th anniversary this year and being the next major entry in the iconic fighting game franchise, It has been finally announced by Capcom. A brief teaser trailer was released following the season final of the Capcom Pro Tour, where Kawano defeated veteran Daigo Umehara.

But if you were expecting some actual gameplay in the trailer then you might have to face some disappointment. However, it suggests that Street Fighter 6 will be more realistic inn terms of gameplay compared to the previous games in the series. At least, as realistic as you could expect while maintaining Ryu’s formidable proportions. Capcom says you can expect to have more information on the game this summer.

However, the all new painfully basic logo of Street Fighter 6 has become the talk of the town. It’s a far cry from the usual bombastic, dynamic logos of games past and it turns out there may be a good reason for that—it looks a lot like a slightly altered version of an $80 Adobe stock logo.

Anyway, Capcom will be hoping that Street Fighter 6 has a better launch than some its prequels. Street Fighter V looked and played great when it came out for PS4 and PC in 2016, but it suffered from a dearth of content as well as bugs and server issues. The game ultimately sold more than six million copies after subsequent revisions Arcade Edition and Champion Edition were met with a better reception.

Capcom also announced a new compilation of ten fighting games for the PS4, Xbox, PC, and Nintendo Switch. Capcom Fighting Collection will be out on June 24th and includes the following titles:

Darkstalkers: The Night Warriors

Night Warriors: Darkstalkers’ Revenge

Vampire Hunter 2: Darkstalkers’ Revenge

Vampire Savior: The Lord of Vampire

Vampire Savior 2: The Lord of Vampire

Hyper Street Fighter II: The Anniversary Edition

Red Earth

-Super Gem Fighter Mini Mix (Pocket Fighter)

Cyberbots: Full Metal Madness

Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo
