5. Castlevania (2017)

The TV show adaptation of the horror fantasy video game Castlevania was able to garner a lot of appreciation from the gaming community across the world. The show retains the plot of the video game and, follows the story of the last survivor of the Belmont Clan, Trevor (Richard Armitage), a powerful vampire killer.

At the time f its release Castlevania was widely applauded for its imagination which was right at par with the video game. For a fantasy universe, the script also effectively balanced humor and action, making it more appealing.

It looks dystopian, lived in, and dirty, which is the initial appeal of a world overrun by monsters. The cinematographer, Romain Lacourbas, perfectly executed all action scenes with the camera panning from behind. Lastly, they have kept the plot of the show at the same pace as the video game.

The Last of Us video game came out in 2013, and 9 years after that the first announcement came out stating a movie adaptation of the video game, and its been seven years since that plan collapsed. However, Sony is now bringing our beloved survival horror post-apocalyptic video game tv show to HBO in January 2023.

The show will most follow the plot and locations of the video game, but you can certainly expect some twists and tweaks to the video game adaptation making it slightly different from the already familiar story-line of the video game.

Although, the makers have released some teasers of the popular Video Game TV show which makes it look quiet promising, it still misses so many details which may unfold in due time.
