59 CHINESE APPS BANNED IN INDIA

This might be a heartbreaking news for a lot of Tik Tok users in India as the app along with 58 other Chinese apps, has finally been banned in India. Why am I specifically talking about Tik Tok? Well, the reason is pretty simple. Tik Tok, over the years, had become the most prominent, the most downloaded and the most used app in India leaving behind giants like Facebook and Youtube. Tik Tok was one the most downloaded app be it in Android or IOS.

There were several claims, predictions and, speculations regarding such a ban. There was a lot of ambiguity regarding it. People were trying to come up with their reasons for it and several people are having major meltdowns due to which they are criticising the Indian Government for such an action, by stating the this is against free speech and also restricts globalisation.

Later, the Government of India clarified the real reason behind this ban and, stated that it was done to ensure the safety, security, sovereignty and, integrity of India. We all are aware of the ongoing border tension between India and China, due to which the Indian Government believes that there is a potential risk to the data and privacy of not only the citizens of India but there is also a threat to various confidential matters related to the Government and Intelligence agencies. Moreover, there were several accusations placed of Chinese companies for stealing Intellectual properties

This is not the first time, that, such a step has been taken against a Chinese app. In the past, The United States of America, as well, prohibited its force to download or use TIK TOK. For more details you can check the link below:
