GTA 6 or Grand Theft Auto 6 is without a shadow of doubt is the most awaited and the most anticipated game for years now. People have been awaiting the release of the next GTA game for a very long time, but Rockstar has not made any announcement about the release of the game.

There has been no confirmation from Rockstar, that they are working on the next GTA game, let alone its release. It has already been more than 7 years since Grand Theft Auto 5 first came out in 2013, and people have waited for GTA 6 long enough.

GTA 5 originally was released for seventh generation consoles like, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360. Later, the game was remastered for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One as well. But the patience of the gamers was pushed to its limit, when the game was relaunched on the current generation consoles like PS5 and Xbox Series X, but there was no sign of GTA 6.

There is no denying that GTA 5 still hails on the top in terms of popularity and continues to be one of the best selling games. But, this doesn’t change the fact that people are dying to Play the next installment in the Grand Theft Auto Franchise, hence, they expected an update on GTA 6 release instead of re-launch of GTA 5 for PS5 and Xbox Series X.

Nevertheless, fans won’t stop talking, won’t stop speculating, and won’t stop finding out more and more about the game. Having said that, here are some updates and rumors going around about Grand Theft Auto 6.

1. GTA 6 will be based in Vice City:

The game is set to be based in Vice City with some linear parts in Liberty City and some other city inspired by Rio Di Janerio. People have been eagerly waiting to know which city would it be, Vice City or Liberty City as these two cities happen to be the biggest contenders for the next GTA game. Where Vice City is more colorful, bright and has open terrains, Liberty City happens to be comparatively darker, and congested.

2. Playable Character:

There will be only one playable character in GTA 6. Previously, Rumors were that this time the game will have a female protagonist, however, now it is being speculated that the protagonist will be a male named ‘Ricardo’, an upcoming drug-lord. Apart from that, there is another important character in the game called ‘Kacey’.

3. Synopsis and Overview of GTA 6:

According to rumors, the game is set in 1970s or 80s. You start off as a grunt doing runs as a cocaine smuggler from Vice City to the new large South American area before making connections with big-time drug lords and making your way up. Multiple cities. A younger Martin Madrazo will also make an appearance. You will do some missions for the Madrazo family involving hits on other gangs. The final city in which the game will be set, will also have a giant prison.

4. GTA 6 will have moderate realism:

If we go by some reports then Rockstar games will try to create a balance between realism and arcade for GTA 6. The game will be realistic in many ways but not as realistic as Red Dead Redemption 2, as the game will be set in a modern world, hence it has to be fast moving.

You will be able to carry limited weapons in hand. Your car trunk will act like saddle bags in Red Dead Redemption 2, where you keep all your tools and weapons. Weather such as hurricane, floods, etc have been given extra focus. Buildings change over the eras, vehicles too. So older, rare classic cars get more expensive as time progresses etc.

5. Next-Gen Consoles Only:

GTA 6 will apparently be available on only next-gen consoles apart from PC. This mean that the game will only have PS5 and Xbox Series X/S version and will not come on PS4 and Xbox One.

6. GTA 6 will have Full VR support:

Video Games Deluxe (the developers of L.A. Noire: The VR Files) spoke about working on an AAA-title supporting virtual reality in a LinkedIn post.

While this rumor isn’t exciting on its own, it’s the fact that they’re collaborating with Rockstar that excites fans. Could it be GTA 6 VR support? Some fans even believe that it’s a spin-off of some kind, but the idea of VR still excites some fans in 2021.
