PlayStation 5 User Interface revealed, Price in India and other Details
Sony finally unveiled the first look of the user interface of PlayStation 5 on their official YouTube channel and website. In the video, the company shows the most important and distinguishing elements in the UI of the console.
“We believe that your playtime is valuable and should be meaningful, and all the new features we offer are inspired by that concept and vision. The new user experience introduces several new features designed to make your gaming experiences more fun, engaging, personalized, and social. The PS5’s user experience is focused on getting players into the game easier and faster,” said Hideaki Nishino, Vice President of Sony Interactive Entertainment.
PlayStation 5 New UI Features:
The new PlayStation 5 User interface is way different from any other PlayStation interface offered in the past.
Unlike its predecessors, where you get to the home-screen of the gaming console once you press the PS button on your controller, PlayStation 5 takes you to its control center.
The control center provides you various additional features and tools of the console which are integrated with the PS5 interface. According to the information given in the video, this control center is just one tap of the PlayStation.
The control panel allows users to check out latest official news, screenshots, game progress, view downloads and notifications, the list of connected friends and also control music, manage console and controller settings.
As far as gaming is concerned, then the player will get all the information such as, the progress of the game, objectives yet to complete, estimate time that would be taken by the players to complete those objectives based on their playing style, on the control panel itself.
Furthermore, players will not only be provided some hints and videos, for how to progress in the game (only for some games), but they will also able to record their own game footages and videos at 4K.
The players will also have access to multiplayer online streaming game cards, which shall allow them to switch between games fast and easy, thanks to the PS5’s Ultra High speed SSD.
However, you will land on the home-screen of the PS5, either when you start-up from a power off state, or when you wish to change the game or download a new one. The layout of the home-screen has been designed to present games and gaming content beautifully on a 4K display, where every game will have a different theme in the background.
Apart from that, games and media related apps have been provided separate spaces for easy accessibility and control.
PlayStation 5 and accessories Price in India:
Sony has announced the prices of PlayStation 5 consoles and accessories in India. However, there is no confirmation as to when the two consoles will be launched in India.
