The companies are trying to dispatch the fresh stock as early as possible in order to cope up with the growing demand. A recent example comes from India, where the PlayStation 5 finally released on February 2, 2021 after a trademark issue Sony had to face there.

But the most astonishing thing about the entire Indian scenario of PlayStation 5 is that it went out of stock, in a couple of minutes after it was made available for pre-order on January 12, 2021.

The excitement for video games, gaming consoles and gaming in general has risen exponentially in the past couple of years and it continues to go higher and higher. Moreover, the change in technology has also helped creating this demand for gaming. The new generation consoles like, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X are backward compatible. This means, that they can play games of their previous generation counter-parts as well. To be specific, the all new PS5 can play over 4,000 PS4 titles, whereas, every Xbox, Xbox 360 and Xbox One game can be played on existing Xbox Series X and S.
