There has been tension at the Indo-China border, where soldiers and officers, of both the countries, have engaged in multiple scuffles over a course of time.

The Indian army made accusations on Chinese soldiers of trespassing into Indian territory repeatedly. The situation escalated after more than 20 Indian soldiers and over 40 Chinese soldiers were killed during a military clash in the Himalayas in June as per sources.

It is believed to be one of the reasons for the Indian Government to come up with a very strong decision of Banning 118 Chinese Apps in India.

India’s IT Ministry ordered to ban 118 apps that it said were “prejudicial to sovereignty and integrity of India, defense of India, security of state and public order.” The move will help “safeguard the interests of crores (tens of millions) of Indian mobile and internet users. This decision is a targeted move to ensure safety, security, and sovereignty of Indian cyberspace,” the ministry said.

Among the new apps that have been banned today include search engine Baidu, business collaboration suite WeChat  Work, cloud storage service Tencent Weiyun, Rise of Kingdoms game, utility service APUS Launcher, a VPN for TikTok, e-commerce service Mobile Taobao, video hosting service Youko, news outlet Sina News, card reader service CamCard, as well as a miniature version of PUBG. PUBG ban

PUBG was a very popular app in India which had around 50 million downloads and 33 million active users.

According to AppAnnie PUBG is one of the two unicorn mobile games in India( the other one being Ludo King), which had a valuation of 1 Billion dollars in India. Moreover, 50% of the worldwide usage of the app came from India.

When PUBG got banned in India, then nCore games which is a Bangalore based game developing company, capitalised this opportunity and released a poster of their upcoming game FAU-G, which is believed to be a perfect replacement for PUBG.

Ever since the release of its poster, FAU-G game has been receiving and facing different kinds of criticism and doubts by the Indian audience.

Firstly, people had queries about the very early announcement of the game, post-PUBG ban. People were not convinced, that how the game got developed so fast ? To which the co-founder of the company Vishal Gondal revealed that, ” FAU-G was always in the pipeline and we were preparing for an October release. The ban on PUBG was coincidental.

There were also accusations made on nCore games for poster plagiarism. People claimed that the poster of the game has been copied from Shutter Stock. In response to this, nCore games published a clarification by saying that,” We have officially bought the license to use the image from Shutter Stock. Additionally, this is just a teaser poster and we would be releasing the official game Title Screen and in-game art soon.

FAU-G VS SHUTTER STOCK

FAU-G is a new online single-player/ multiplayer/ battle royal mobile game, where multiple players can play and compete with each other at the same time. It goes along the same line as PUBG in some ways. However, like PUBG, where 100 players can play together, nCore games have not yet revealed anything about the number of players, as it is still under development.

Apart from that, it is believed that this game will educate about battles and the Indian army. It may also generate and instil a feeling of nationalism and patriotism amongst the youth of India, as players will have to play as Indian soldiers, protecting the nation.

For example, at one of the stages of the game the players will get to experience the real life Indo-china scuffel at Galwan Valley in Ladakh, India.

It was also announced by Akshay Kumar that, 20% revenue of the game FAU-G, will be given to India’s Bravehearts (Bharat Ke Veer) program, that was launched by Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India.
